R6, or Natasha as I call her.
|
After several years of not riding motorcycles I decided to purchase a bike. Why? Well because it's
a hoot, I could afford it, and I live in Europe now. Europe is so fun to ride a motorcycle - you can
do some serious twisties in the mountain passes, scoot between stopped lanes of traffic in town, and
race a Porsche or Ferrari as fast you wish (well only on the German Autobahn), and did I mention the
mountain passes?
Natsha is a 2000 model Yamaha YZF-R6 which I bought with just 4800km on the odometer in 2002. In my
first summer I added another 6000 km, easily doubling what the previous owner did! |
As mentioned, I'm doing a bunch of work on Natasha now:
- Sliders: Frame, swing arm, clutch, steering
- Heated grips - It gets cold in the winter!
- Flush mount LED blinkers
- Race undertail
- LED rear tail light with integrated turn signals
- larger hugger
- Fiber optic blue neon trim lights
- stripping and polishing the wheel rims
So by the Spring everything should be done, and I'll post some updated pictures.
